The redfish was overcooked, so they flipped it over and covered it in the sauce, instead of re-making it. Honestly it was good 2 years ago, last year was a fail for the redfish. And it would appear this year is the same as the last. Good thing is you have many other great meals I enjoy on a regular basis, so no worries I will always be coming back. Over all your server's need to work as a team, no one should have to wait or stare-down their waiter/waitress to get refills. Maybe the busboys/girls can help out with that.

Service - I'm writing this review at the request of my waitress, Lynn B. I'm not getting paid by her, and we're not even friends. If you do happen to come into this location, ask for her because I absolutely enjoyed my dining experience with Lynn. She makes you feel very welcomed. As if she is your Aunt and you are just visiting her house on a nice summer weekend. Ok, maybe I exaggerated a little, but she is by far the best customer service I have ever received at any Willie's Ice House. Management should definitely recognize her as a star employee.

But today I was having cabin fever and called Willie's to see if they are serving dining's outdoors and practicing social distancing per CDC standards. When we arrived we had to where masks upon entering which I was happy to see. We ordered and found a table outside spaced far apart around the back side of the restaurant which I felt safely sufficient from our neighboring patrons. Haven't been here in years but I ordered my usual catfish and shrimp with onion rings. We also tried the hatch queso which was delicious.
Grilled Chicken Willie
We usually order curbside but about 85% of the time, we have to go inside to request our food. The price has gone up for the brisket tacos but didn't get very good value today. Didn't get the queso with my order. About 1/4 of the meat in one taco was nothing but fat. Ordered chips and salsa with my order but didn't receive many chips and did not receive any salsa. The food is very good at Willie's but today was definitely Not worth what I paid for it.

Grabbed some take out from Willie's !! They are usually pretty thorough!! I ordered the grilled chicken meal with veggies and seasoned rice . The order taker should just pay attention to detail and not charge me for a full chicken strip dinner . It was suppose to be a kids meal chicken strip dinner.I didn't notice until I looked at my receipt. I didn't feel like waiting an extra 5 minutes to sort everything out while my food go cold.So I just left it as is.
Fresh margaritas to top it off. My husband commented that he was glad to see the servers working during Covid and we made sure to tip them well. Final thoughts, the food was prepared fresh as normal and the service was great and most importantly I felt safe having dinner at this place outside.
Also Ordered chicken fingers and those were cold. First time ordering from here & I’m very upset because I was looking forward to a great meal. If paying so much for a meal and not including all of the food isn’t good.
We will be back again for sure. Food service was way slower than normal. Waiting for refills is not expectable.

Double junior patties, double cheese, mayo, mustard, lettuce, red onion, tomato, and pickles. We have been going to Willie's for years and have always had a good meal. Is a great server and always takes care of us with a smile. We always want to sit in her section. You can always order online and pick up which is great during the pandemic. Order has always been correct.
Today we went for a quick dinner since we had a free entree coupon.Fried mushrooms were spot on! Great ranch dip.Chicken fried chicken with gravy on the side. Veggies and mashed potatoes w/brown gravy.The CFC was HUGE! My burger was over cooked, sent back, never got my food back! Everyone else in our party was done eating before I was able to catch our waitress to tell her I never got my burger. Had to be satisfied with the few fries I ate before I returned my food!
Not only that, the patty had NO flavor, and I got a cheeseburger instead of the bacon cheeseburger I paid for. We drove in from Manor for dinner — don’t know if we will come back. Especially if this is what to expect. Great flavor, very generous portions! I recommend the Country fried chicken & the Texas fried chicken club - YUM. Great customer service as well.
